Since May 17th, 2010.

The objectives of this project, executed as a trainee at the EPPM company, was to study, to design, to program and to test the control system of a new air cooled heat exchanger.

This new system was replacing the previous cooling system, which was an old water sea cooled steam condenser.

• Update of the PID ( Process Instrumentation Drawing ).

• Realization of the control system ( two S7-314 PLC logic controllers ) and of the SCADA interface ( Supervisory control and data acquisition ) with SIEMENS programmable logic controllers over a Modbus network.

  The network has been designed by choosing a distributed architecture, in order to exchange the inputs and the outputs data plus the parameters with all the connected devices ( sensors, controllers, drives and so on ) through the network.

  March-April, 2009.

  Design, development, program and test of an electronic card used to control a LED flashing signboard, using a « PIC 16F877 » micro controller.
