HART PROTOCOL SIGNAL MODULATION CONCEPT

• When a bit is high ( 1 ) the period is long ( around 0.8 ms ) or the frequency is low ( 1200 Hz ).
• When a bit is low ( 0 ) the period is short ( around 0.4 ms ) or the frequency is high ( 2400 Hz ).
• The analogical value of the measure is the mean value of the modulated digital signal ( 0 mA in the example above ).
• The range value of the modulated digital signal is approximately equal to 1 mA ( ± 0.5 mA around the analogical signal ).
